Technical skills
Minimum, a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering or similar roles; with at least 5+ years of these in the medical device industry.
Strong technical and problem-solving foundation, and preferably training and certifications, in a variety of problem-solving and project management methodologies such as 6-Sigma (green belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone) and lean manufacturing.
Speaks, reads and writes Fluently in English and Spanish.
Knowledge of common software used in the industry (Minitab, solid works, office package, etc).
Project management skills.
Strong knowledge of process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ and PPQ).
Can assess the need for validation and prepare a validation plan.
Knowledge of PFMEA and control plan.
Soft skills
Clear and professional communications to all levels of the organization are important in this role and you will have well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Capable of mentoring other engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate, develop and implement a wide range of new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications and work-instructions.
Review documentation work of peers and engineers.
You may lead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and or complexity and may influence others to achieve goals.
Performs other functions as required.
