Position Summary / What You’ll Do
The Survey Project Manager will oversee survey projects from planning through completion, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate, high-quality results. You will play a key role in mentoring staff, growing client relationships, and ensuring that projects meet scope, schedule, and budget goals.
Responsibilities / Day-to-Day
- Manage survey projects from proposal through final deliverables.
- Oversee scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring technical quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and designers to integrate survey data into projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop survey staff.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and client communications.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and safety practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in PA, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 5+ years of progressive survey project experience.
- Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management.
- Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
Preferred
- PLS license in multiple states.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or GIS.
- Previous leadership or staff mentoring experience.
