Prior experience and technical understanding of telecommunications construction, specifically aerial and underground installation and maintenance, is highly preferred for this role.

This individual is a Sales Leader capable of managing our sales team and driving company-wide revenue growth across multiple business lines. This individual is a leader who is equally comfortable mentoring a team and personally closing strategic deals. The Sales Manager will oversee sales team performance, refine sales processes, and implement CRM and sales operations best practices. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded “5-tool player” in sales: a leader, closer, process optimizer, CRM enforcer, and strategic operator.
Our solutions span the full infrastructure lifecycle, including Consulting, Design, Construction, and Maintenance. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad visibility and direct influence on business growth across these service lines. We also have strategic plans to expand into the Wireless Tower and Energy markets, positioning the company for long-term, diversified growth.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Sales Leadership
Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team to exceed performance goals.
Partner with the COO and CSO to define and execute sales strategies.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.
Team Development
Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Identify skill gaps and create tailored development plans.
Sales Execution & Deal Management
Actively pursue and close high-value deals to set the standard for the team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
Serve as an executive point of contact for strategic accounts
Sales Process & CRM Management
Design, implement, and continuously improve sales processes to increase efficiency and throughput.
Ensure consistent CRM usage for pipeline tracking, forecasting, and performance management.
Introduce tools and automation to support scalable growth.
Market Strategy & Business Growth
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and federal/state funding opportunities (e.g., RDOF, BEAD).
Develop plans to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base.
Support pricing strategy and bid development with internal stakeholders.
Performance Management
Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Lead regular sales meetings to review metrics and forecast accuracy.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
7+ years of sales management experience in construction, telecom, utilities, or related sectors.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of public sector selling, federal grants (RDOF, BEAD), and utility construction projects is a plus.
Expertise in solution selling, consultative sales approaches, and B2B environments.
Preferences
Experience selling across multiple business lines with varied sales cycles.
Familiarity with design-to-construction service delivery models.
Operational mindset with the ability to improve systems and processes at scale.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This job will be a mix between travel and office work, with normal office environment and exposure to be expected.
May be required to stand, sit, bend, twist, and reach as part of the job.
Extended periods of standing on your feet may be required.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, or other job-related pre-hire screenings related to the job.
This position will have heavy requirements to manage a team of 2-5 sales representatives and supporting administrative staff, but may also require overnight travel up to 50% of the time. Travel may consist of plane, train, or automobile across the United States.
