Information Technology Specialist – U.S. Army (Entry-Level, No Experience Needed)

Full-time Part-time Contract Paid Training U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Required

Join the U.S. Army as an Information Technology Specialist and gain hands-on experience maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting military computer systems. No prior experience needed—complete training and certifications provided.

Overview:

Information Technology Specialists maintain networks, hardware, and software. They provide customer and network administration and develop, test, and edit computer programs.

Job Duties:

Maintain networks, hardware, and software.

Provide customer and network administration services.

Construct, edit, and test computer programs.

Training:

10 weeks Basic Combat Training.

20 weeks Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction.

Learn to use computer consoles and peripheral equipment.

Understand computer systems concepts.

Plan, design, and test computer systems.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (I-551).

Age 17–34; ages 35–39 may qualify with a waiver.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Must be in good physical health.

Minimum ASVAB Skilled Technical (ST) score: 95.

Helpful Skills:

Interest in computer science.

Attention to detail.

Effective communication skills.

Experience installing computers.

Compensation:

$40,000–$80,000 per year.

Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.

Bonuses:

Earn up to $40,000 in enlistment bonuses for in-demand jobs.
