This is a 13-week contract position in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The facility is located in a critical access hospital environment offering a mix of medical, surgical, and telemetry patient care. Facility Details

Trauma Level: Critical Access Hospital Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required, specifically in Medical Surgical Telemetry.
Experience with insulin drips and cardiac drips is REQUIRED.
AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. NIHSS must be obtained prior to start.
EPIC experience from within the last 2 years is required and non-negotiable.
Prior travel experience is preferred. Patient Care and Staffing Information
Nurse Patient Ratio: Varies by acuity, generally 1:4 or 1:5.
Ancillary Support: 2-3 staff per shift, including LNA/CNA/PCT support as needed.
Hospital Volunteers: Available, number of staff per shift varies by availability.
Documentation System: EPIC
Medication System: PYXIS
Floating: Not required Patient Population
Service Med-Surg Tele patients, including orthopedic, urology, ENT, GYN, general surgical patients, and some progressive care patients.

The unit is designed to handle a maximum census of 25 patients across 17 rooms, including private and semi-private arrangements accommodating negative pressure requirements. The unit provides comprehensive patient care, with 24/7 hospitalist coverage that fosters a collaborative and nurturing work environment. Holiday and Scheduling Requirements
Availability for every other weekend is required, as well as adjustments to meet unit needs.
Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. Additional Information
