Pay Rate: $50- $63/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule & Hours:
Part-Time: 1 to 3 Days per Week
Shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)
Guaranteed Hours: 17 hours/week minimum
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and medication management. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, offering drug-related guidance to healthcare professionals and patients, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret prescriptions and detect therapeutic incompatibilities
Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
Monitor drug therapies and recommend interventions as needed
Direct pharmacy technicians in medication preparation and labeling
Provide expert drug information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients
Participate in staff education and clinical training programs
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory laws and policies
Adhere to infection-control protocols to safeguard patients and staff
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (required)
Valid Pharmacist license issued by the State of Michigan
Minimum 5 years of experience in all of the following areas:
Pharmacokinetics
Prescription Verification
Medication Therapy Management
Drug Interactions Analysis
Pharmacotherapy
Drug Utilization Review
Pharmaceutical Calculations
Patient Counseling
Strong understanding of dosage administration and pharmaceutical systems
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care
