Location: Washington, DC

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Duration: 12 month contract, with possible extension

W-2 or 1099

The DNA Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst to support enterprise-level initiatives across multiple agencies. This role requires deep expertise in data analysis, SQL development, data governance, and business intelligence systems. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of enterprise data, develop innovative solutions to complex data challenges, and drive continuous improvement in data quality and reporting to support mission-critical operations.

Overview Requirements:

• Interface independently with high-level stakeholders to gather and document requirements, manage data projects, and ensure data quality across all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Analyze, compile, and verify data in support of enterprise data warehousing services. Develop complex SQL queries, reporting environments, and data-driven dashboards.

• Create and maintain metadata and data dictionaries to ensure consistency across systems.

• Design and document methods for implementing new database systems and reporting solutions, leveraging SQL and BI tools.

• Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures while creating new approaches to problem-solving and process optimization.

• Write and execute scripts to identify and correct common data errors and inconsistencies.

• Troubleshoot database issues related to input, retrieval, and modification, as well as general system operation and maintenance.

• Perform complex data analyses to validate data, identify trends, and resolve inconsistencies. Define requirements for enterprise systems and anticipate changes in data capacity.

• Operate and maintain business intelligence systems, dashboards, and ancillary tools for analytics and reporting.

• Coordinate activities with project managers throughout the SDLC, including design, development, and testing.

• Serve as a technical lead on data-driven reporting and application development projects with minimal oversight.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database management, data governance, and business intelligence.

• Create professional reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel, Power BI, and other BI platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and IT partners to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Wide range of IT standards, principles, concepts, methods, policies, and system testing: 16 years (Required)

• Database management approaches and practices: 16 years (Required)

• Analytical methods, practices, and requirements analysis: 16 years (Required)

• Relational database technologies: 16 years (Required)

• Creating metadata/data dictionaries and designing/implementing reports: 10 years (Required)

• Creating database views for live data feeds and data-driven dashboards: 10 years (Required)

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and managing small IT projects: 15 years (Required)

• Data warehousing concepts and collaboration with data architects on database schemas: 15 years (Required)

• Business Intelligence (BI) systems operations and maintenance: 10 years (Required)

• Oral and written communication techniques, including reporting accomplishments: 10 years (Required)

• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences: 10 years (Required)

• Data analysis and SQL code development: 16 years (Required)
