Chevron is accepting online applications for the position SCM Advisor through September 21st at 11:59 p.m.

The SCM Advisor plays a strategic and operational role in managing procurement, contracting, and supply chain processes across Chevron’s joint ventures in Venezuela. Acting as a key liaison between internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Internal Control, Business Planning) and external partners, the SCM Advisor ensures the sustainability and efficiency of Chevron’s centralized contracting and procurement model.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Lead the creation and execution of the Annual Contracting Plan (ACPP), coordinating with SCM and operations teams across joint ventures

Design, implement and oversee compliance of local SCM processes including contracting and procurement activities. Provides advice and clarification to SCM team members with all related queries

Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SMART by GEP, PAC/PACM contracting processes, and Chevron’s Blue Language compliance standards

Manage reporting and KPIs for SCM performance, including spend analysis, supplier metrics, and contract execution

Drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation, ERP integration, and development of SCM applications

Support SCM Townhalls, onboarding sessions, and internal training programs

Ensure compliance with internal audit standards, budget controls, and procurement governance

Prepares and manage the annual internal budget for the SCM department

Serves as main point of contact for projects, tasks, and issue resolution involving other departments such as Legal, Finance, Internal Controls, HSE, and Planning.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Finance or economics, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., APICS, ISM) is preferred

Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in process engineering, supply chain, procurement, or business analytics.

Proven experience supervising or managing a small team (directly or indirectly)

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and SQL.

Proven experience in managing large datasets and building performance dashboards

Familiarity with PowerApps, and basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, or C++)

Experience with procurement platforms or SMART by GEP or similar procurement platforms is preferred.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally and lead initiatives with diverse teams.

High attention to detail, analytical, and commitment to compliance and documentation standards.

Supervisor skills with a demonstrated ability to delegate tasks, support team development, and ensure project goals are met efficiently.
