What You’ll Do
The Vendor Management Analyst supports and advances the operational effectiveness of the Vendor Management Office (VMO) by leveraging strong data analysis, reporting, and visualization skills. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the vendor management metrics dashboard, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) and other vendor data are accurate, timely, and actionable. The Analyst also plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity and usability across vendor-related dashboards and performance tools, helping drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement in vendor management practices.
Challenges include relying on stakeholders from various areas to provide information as they juggle competing, high priority work. Additionally, may need to troubleshoot data syncing issues within Power Apps and Cognos on occasion.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains the vendor management metrics dashboard which tracks key performance indicators [KPIs] and other key vendor management data points
Gathers and organizes requirements for purpose of displaying data on the VMO dashboard
Performs validation of data performance and solution delivery by analyzing the end product against KPI requirements specifications
Performs vendor classification surveys and maintains accurate classification survey data within the vendor management dashboard
Develops diverse data visualizations to effectively highlight the data and its overall impact
Performs vendor evaluation surveys for non-strategic vendors and ensures that the data remains accurately reflected on the vendor management dashboard
Assists with obtaining and maintaining vendor information, including vendor service level agreements (SLAs)
Creates technical documentation for processes, projects, and procedures
Works with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and lead the modification or creation of new systems
Performs technical writing to outline vendor management requirements documents for new initiatives
Analyzes business requirements from stakeholders to recommend possible solutions to identified business problems
Coordinates the creation, preparation, and distribution of vendor related document
Identifies and processes IT-vendor management services requests for customers
Develops strong internal stakeholder relationships
Serves as a mentor to, and answers questions for peers and/or lower-level staff
Schedule: Full-time
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Travel: Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.

The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
OPTION 1:
60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
Option 2:
Completion of associate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration;
AND
42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
Option 3:
Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration;
AND
36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
Or
Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 35. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $40.59 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
