We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Program Manager to join Sonatech, LLC in Santa Barbara California.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned projects and programs

Execute programs to meet business financial goals

Develop program strategy, vision, and direction for program execution by multifunctional teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants

Lead program teams composed of multidisciplinary personnel including design engineers, manufacturing, and test for major programs in support of USN and major primes including technical, quality, cost, schedule, and associated risk management

Responsible for new program capture, leading or supporting proposal preparation

Responsible for articulating to senior leadership program cost and schedule performance; strategies for execution and strategic improvement

Enhance working relationships with established customer base and prime partners

Maintain effective customer interfaces; leads all contract formal reviews with customer

Communicates program status and risks to senior management

Develop corrective actions to mitigate issues and changes to program scope, assisting with aligning resources in a multiple team member environment to ensure effective performance

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related disciplines

Minimum 10 years of Program Management experience in defense related multi-million-dollar programs.

Required Citizenship and Security Clearance

US Citizenship is required

Secret or Ability to obtain Secret clearance within one year of employment

Required Skills

Demonstrated excellence in Program Management principles

Perform program planning, progress measurement, team coordination and leadership, scope management, and status reporting

Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel in a technical context

Leadership, organizational, communication, motivational, mentorship, and negotiation skills

Strong business acumen

Program execution to forecasted earning, cashflow, bookings, and profit goals

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Risk & Opportunity management

Consistently demonstrates the ability to analyze and respond appropriately to customer issues in a timely manner

Must be reliable, flexible, and detail oriented

Consistently demonstrates effective team building and professional behavior

Meets or exceeds schedule and financial goals and objectives on assigned program(s)

Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration

Demonstrates ability to manage technical development by subcontractors

Strong communications skills and experience presenting to customers and senior leadership

Proficient with MS Office including MS Project

Capture and proposal management experience

Desired Skills

Prefer experience working with undersea acoustic systems

Prefer Master's degree in Engineering or MBA

Certified Project Management Professional

Salary Range:

$150,000- $275,000
