Multi Modal Freight Supervisor

IMPORT/EXPORT FREIGHT SUPERVISOR

Our client is now seeking an experienced Import/Export Multimodal Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee multimodal import/export transportation activities including air, sea & road dealing with both FCL and LCL shipments

Support and guide and supervise the Team of 5 Freight Operators

Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of shipments to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.

Must be happy to quote for New and Existing Business and visit customers as and when required.

Liaise with carriers, vendors, and clients to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues.

Manage documentation, customs clearance, and compliance requirements for international shipments.

Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Requirements:

Proven experience in multimodal operations within the freight forwarding

Experience in CDS is a must

Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.

Must be very hands on

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite desirable but not essential

Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
