Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for Electro Mechanical Assemblers for a facility in the south Memphis area. These positions are 3 month contract to hire opportunities on 1st or 2nd shift. Please apply for immediate consideration.

1st shift: 6:30am-3:00pm plus overtime after shift and on saturdays $27/hr

2nd shift: 3:30pm-12:00am plus overtime after shift and on saturdays $28.62/hr

Job Description

Join our team to assist in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products in the newly established department. You will play a crucial role in understanding wiring schematics and diagrams, performing tasks such as crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing.

Responsibilities

Work under direct supervision, with frequent monitoring of output.

Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the assigned area according to 5S standards.

Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members.

Communicate with inventory personnel about spare parts inventory and locations.

Remain mostly stationary around the cell unit while wiring different sections per client specifications using point-to-point schematics.

Conduct real-time testing for point-to-point wiring to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.

Essential Skills

1+ years of experience in electrical or electromechanical assembly. (Will consider trade school certifications)

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, schematics, and diagrams.

Experience with electrical wiring and machine building.

Familiarity with schematic and mechanical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Proficiency in using a personal computer with Windows-based operating systems and software.

Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Experience in technical schools with industrial electricity, maintenance, or manufacturing specialties is advantageous.

Ideal candidates should possess a balance of 50% mechanical and 50% electrical experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with a team of four technicians per unit, and up to five units in production simultaneously each day. Training will be fast-paced due to growth, requiring candidates with previous electrical wiring experience. Must be available to work overtime (up to 58 hours per week)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
