Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Irvine, California. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to apply your expertise in financial operations and accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Collaborate with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify to integrate financial data.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded properly.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.

• Utilize accounting software like Xero to streamline financial operations.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

• Improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including month-end close processes.

• Proficiency in managing general ledger and preparing journal entries.

• Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations.

• Experience working with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify.

• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Xero.
