Wood Machinist

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Wood Machinist to work in their leading facility in Telford.

The hiring manager would prefer someone who has worked on a CNC Router or in a Workshop doing Woodwork.

For the successful Wood Machinist our client is offering;

Hourly rate of up to £13 per hour - This will depend on experience

Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm, Friday 7am – 3pm

Overtime opportunities

Temporary - Permanent position

The Role of the Wood Machinist:

Operating a wood routing CNC machine

Working to different specifications

Sanding down of wood

Daily use of hand and power tools including air and nail guns

Using a variety of saws within the workshop

Following Health & Safety guidelines

Lifting of different sizes of Wooden boards

Manual handling

Sweeping up

What our client is looking for in a Wood Machinist:

Previous Machine Operating experience - ESSENTIAL

Previous experience with a CNC Router - HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS

This is a PHYSICAL role that will involve LIFTING different sizes of products

Knowledge of Health & Safety Guidelines / Manual Handling
