We are a physician-owned and operated family practice with two thriving locations in San Antonio, seeking a compassionate and experienced Board-Certified Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant in our practice, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. You’ll work closely with our lead physician and Quality team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate treatment for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct physical examinations, obtain and review medical histories, and diagnose/treat acute and chronic conditions.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
Provide patient education and counseling on preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness strategies.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
Maintain proficiency in CMS charting requirements and collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate documentation.
Continuously enhance clinical expertise in alignment with patient needs and practice goals.
Qualifications:
Board-certified Physician Assistant with active Texas licensure.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Manual dexterity to operate medical instruments and electronic medical record system (eClinicalWorks).
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and respond to clinical needs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
