Locum Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

Join a dedicated team at a prominent outpatient radiation oncology facility located in Lapeer, Michigan. This opportunity offers a supportive environment focused on patient care, with the ideal candidate providing crucial physics support and ensuring quality in treatments. You'll be on-site for essential duties with the flexibility to work remotely on off-days. Job Responsibilities:

Perform typical physics reviews for patient plans created by dosimetry.

Analyze portal dosimetry for patient-specific QA.

Coordinate with the radiation oncology team to ensure compliance with treatment plans.

Provide QA work, including machine and patient QA checks.

Maintain familiarity with IMRT, SBRT, and SRS procedures. Qualifications:

Strong understanding of radiation oncology physics principles.

Experience with Eclipse treatment planning software.

Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work in a solo capacity.

Ability to interpret and analyze dosimetry in accordance with established protocols. License and Certification Requirements:

Board certification preferred (ABR, CCPM, no longer required).

Local provider status required; only mileage will be reimbursed.
