In the role of Housekeeper – Common Areas you will be responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Department by performing tasks to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of common areas within the Academy Mapleton Hill community (AMH).

Responsibilities
Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas
Accountable for all aspects of cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry
Follows Academy Mapleton Hill protocol for cleaning
Works with a team of housekeeping and maintenance staff to complete projects and tasks
Communicates with supervisor and other staff regarding equipment status and malfunctions
Performs basic repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing lightbulbs or unclogging drains
Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operation of facility
Maintains the organization and inventory of supplies and restocking as needed
Following all health and safety protocols, including proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures
Responding to requests and concerns from residents, employees and guests
Adheres to a schedule of regular cleaning and maintenance tasks
Qualifications
Exceptional level of professionalism, adherence to rules of confidentiality and standards of customer service
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to build effective work relationships at all levels, influence behavior, and lead change
An enthusiastic team player
Honesty, integrity, sense of humor, and pleasant demeanor – ability to stay calm under pressure
Empathy toward the elderly and to geriatric issues and challenges
Education and Experience
Two plus years of demonstrated housekeeping-related work experienceRequirements:
