As a result of the team’s current activity levels, we are now seeking to recruit an Consultant/Experienced Consultant (m/f) within our Corporate Finance team.
The role will be based in Zagreb. As an Consultant/Experienced Consultant within the team, you would be expected to be involved in the following types of work:
Day to day project work on live transactions;
Financial statement analysis;
Performing indicative valuations (comparable valuations, DCF) and investment appraisals (e.g. returns analysis) as part of transaction work;
Preparation of client presentations, transaction marketing documentation (teasers, information memorandums) and pitch documents (partially also through collaboration with other PwC territories and relevant teams);
Undertaking research (market analysis, target or buyer identification);
Client-facing activities and constant exposure (primarily in meetings and also through calls and/or daily email correspondence);
Business development activities such as the identification and targeting of potential opportunities (either sell-side or buy-side);
Developing and maintaining internal and external networks.

This role would represent an exceptional opportunity to work in Corporate Finance (M&A) and to gain immediate exposure to transactional activity within a strong team of experienced advisors.
You are expected to be confident, self-motivated, personable and numerate. The individual will bring a level of knowledge, interest in and experience in deals. There should also be a demonstration of eagerness to learn more about these areas.
An ideal candidate should have:
Ideally 1-2 years of experience in Corporate Finance gained through an Investment Bank, M&A boutique, other Big Four…;
Strong command of both English and Croatian languages;
Ability to conduct financial analysis and independently build financial models;
Flexibility to work with diverse teams;
Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and solid knowledge in Power Pivot, Power BI and/or Alteryx (the latter are an advantage);
Intellectual curiosity with an appetite to learn new skills and markets;
Strong analytical skills and an ability to think laterally and utilise new technology;
Knowledge of or experience in Capital IQ or MergerMarket is an advantage;
Ability to grasp complex commercial issues quickly;
High ambition coupled with the ability to deliver and to work effectively in teams;
Strong attention to detail with an ability to also see the big picture;
Good commercial judgment and independence of mind;
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with others;
Ability to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments;
Enthusiasm for participating in marketing and business development;
CFA or ACCA membership or participation is an advantage.
