Accounting Intern
OSG USA, INC. is a leading manufacturer of taps, endmills, drills, and indexable cutting tools. OSG also serves the fastener industry by offering a complete line of thread rolling, flat, cylindrical, and planetary, rack and trim dies. The company markets its products to numerous industries including automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry and dental.
Position Summary:
The Accounting Intern for OSG USA is responsible for assisting in day-to-day duties within the accounting department including, but not limited to research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records while learning about OSG’s accounting processes and exhibiting OSG values. This would be a 3-5 month part time internship.
Job Functions for an Accounting Intern:
Learn and perform daily accounts receivable activities such as payment collection(s).
Assist with account payables
Assist with account reconciliations
Assist with month end close procedures
Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for an Accounting Intern:
Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent program
Skilled in math, accuracy, and precision
Knowledge with MS Office products including Excel
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
PHYSICAL WORKING DEMANDS
To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to read, write understand and communicate by telephone using the English Language.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time). The employee is frequently required to use hands for typing, 10-key operation, telephone dialing, feeling objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to talk and hear.
Specific vision abilities required to this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to enter information into a computer.

Reports to: Accounting Manager
Compensation: $19 an hour
Classification: Non-Exempt, Part-Time (24 hours per week), Tuesday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Seasonal
