Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure benefits, payroll, and other aspects of the organization’s human resources infrastructure operate with both exceptional accuracy and a strong customer service orientation Talent Acquisition & RetentionLead full cycle recruitment for hourly, salaried, non-exempt, and exempt positionsPartner with local agencies and schools for workforce pipelinesManage and conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs Employee RelationsServe as the primary contact for employee concerns, complaints, and conflict resolutionFoster a positive and inclusive workplace cultureConduct investigations and ensure proper documentationManage employee relations including but not limited to conflict resolution, performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.
Coordinate Termination of Employment Procedures and conduct exit interviews Compliance & Labor LawEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, EEOC)Maintain all HR documentation and employee files accurately and confidentiallySupport internal and external auditsEnsure other Legal responsibilities and Legal Postings Requirements in the workplace Training & DevelopmentIdentify training needs and coordinate development programsSupport cross-training and skill-building for production staffManage, coordinate, and implement the mandatory supervisor training as well as employee training in various subjects such as: Wage & Hour, Sexual Harassment Training, etc.
Performance & CompensationCoordinate performance review cyclesSupport merit review, promotions, and disciplinary actionsAssist with compensation, benchmarking, and payroll coordinationParticipate in the employee performance review and facilitate employee disciplinary proceduresIdentify, report, and resolve workplace barriers to performance Health, Safety, and WellbeingCollaborate with EHS teams to promote a safe work environment Collaborate with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with all OSHA requirements.Administer and track leaves, workers’ comp, and return-to-work processes Manage company’s Worker’s Compensation by communicating with third-party carriers, employee, and managers/supervisors Manage, coordinate, track and monitor all Leave of Absences (FMLA) to ensure legal compliance as well as assisting employees with returning to work process HR Metrics & ReportingTrack key HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, engagement)Provide regular reports to management for decision-making Benefits ManagementServe as a liaison between employees and brokers for plan vendors and third-party administratorsOversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll recordsManage daily benefits processing - handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testingManage full-cycle benefits administration: Medical, Dental, Vision and AFLAC Benefits options.
Oversees administration of all employee benefits from start to finish, including enrollment processing, eligibility changes and coverage terminations in the HRIS system and communication with carriers.
Work closely with insurance carriers and insurance broker to facilitate annual open enrollment, cancellation, and COBRA process.
Prepare memos to ensure facility wide communication.
Attend meetings and prepare meeting summary.
