Purchasing Coordinator – Torrance, CA (Urgent Hire!)
We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Torrance, CA! This is a critical role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has purchasing experience, and can confidently communicate in both English and Japanese.
What You’ll Do
• Maintain and update inventory records (QuickBooks, Business Central, Excel)
• Coordinate domestic and international purchasing, including orders to Japan
• Work with vendors, suppliers, logistics partners, and co-packers to ensure accurate scheduling and delivery
• Track shipments, create inbound sheets, and oversee import/export documentation
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production to manage packaging, labels, and certifications
• Adjust and reconcile inventory as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing or production coordination
• Bilingual English (business level) and Japanese (business/native level required)
• Non-native Japanese speakers may be asked to complete a writing prompt
• Experience in manufacturing or production preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• QuickBooks/Dynamics 365 experience a plus
Compensation & Hours
• Salary: Up to $50,000 (open to $60,000 for strong candidates)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (hours may vary slightly with manager’s schedule)
