The primary responsibilities of a Product Owner should include the following things: Fundamental understanding of ERP and System:
The Product Owner should have a deep understanding of the ERP system and related technical processes
The Product Owner needs to possess a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the system and the underlying processes involved
The Product Owner is responsible for providing training to distributor users on new features and changes in the product
Distributor operation flow: The Product Owner should have knowledge of various distributor operations such as purchase order processing, sales order processing, master data management, inventory management, and sales routing
System implementation for new distributors: The Product Owner is involved in implementing the system for new distributors who do not currently have the system in place
System integration and process building: The Product Owner collaborates with stakeholders to integrate the system with other systems and builds processes based on operational requirements
Product vision: The Product Owner creates and communicates a clear product vision, including requirements for new features and implementation to internal stakeholders and third parties
Stakeholder management: The Product Owner gathers input from stakeholders, manages their expectations, and keeps them informed about product changes and developments
Product demonstrations: The Product Owner conducts demonstrations to showcase new features or improvements to stakeholders
Decision-making: The Product Owner makes timely and informed decisions regarding product priorities, scope changes, and development constraints after obtaining approval from the UCE (Unified Commercial Ecosystem) Manager
Continuous improvement: The Product Owner actively seeks feedback from stakeholders, customers, and the development team to improve the product and development process
Collaboration and communication: The Product Owner works closely with the development team and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, alignment, and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle
Product launch for new features and changes: The Product Owner plays a critical role in coordinating and facilitating the product launch for new features and changes
