We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director to lead our business across the Adria region – including Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. You’ll be joining ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in access solutions, and reporting directly to the Director & Head of Central Southern Europe.

What you would do as our Commercial Director – Adria Region:
You will lead and expand the Commercial Hardware business in the Adria region, driving organic and inorganic growth strategies while aligning with the wider EMEA commercial roadmap.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Full P&L accountability for the Adria region
Leading all commercial and operational activities across the region
Developing direct and indirect sales channels
Building and mentoring high-performing, cross-border teams
Establishing a vertical sales structure focused on end-user engagement
Strengthening our distribution network and partner ecosystem
Implementing pricing strategies in line with EMEA guidelines
Optimizing product portfolios and improving profitability
Supporting M&A activities and post-merger integration
Collaborating closely with Commercial Directors and MDs across Central Europe
Contributing to regional strategy and best practice sharing
The skills and experience you need:
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
A university degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
At least 15 years of commercial experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record in leading business development in the Adria region
Experience managing multicultural, multinational teams in Eastern or Southeastern Europe
Strong understanding of distribution models, pricing strategies, and sales channel development
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills
High integrity, business acumen, and customer focus
Fluency in English; knowledge of any Adria region languages is a plus
A hands-on, digitally savvy mindset and willingness to travel frequently
