Senior Business Analyst

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and proactive Business Analyst to join our Master Data Management (MDM) team.

This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in MDM platforms and a strong background in business analysis, project management, and solution architecture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving data governance, improving data quality, and enabling enterprise-wide data consistency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BUSINESS ANALYSISDefine, design, and implement scalable MDM solutions by developing a deep understanding of our business processes and dataGather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, workflows, and data models related to our master data domainsTranslate business requirements into functional requirements for delivery within agile and/or hybrid modelReview and enrich user stories and epics as needed to support backlog refinement and groomingServe as a liaison between business units and technical teamsMonitor data quality metrics and implement remediation strategiesProvide ongoing support and enhancements to existing MDM systems PROJECT MANAGEMENTManage MDM-related projects from ideation through deployment and production support, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignmentCoordinate testing cycles for QA, systems integration, and user acceptanceTrack milestones, risks, and dependencies, and communicate progress to leadershipClearly and concisely communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholdersTrain business users by preparing guides, materials, and hosting training sessions.Stay organized by updating the Azure Boards ticketing system CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & COMMUNICATIONEstablish and maintain effective relationships with business and technology partnersProactively ask questions about the requirements or business' needsStay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practicesContinuously seek opportunities to improve MDM processes and toolsSupport data governance initiatives by defining policies, standards, and best practices QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or other relevant fieldMaster's degree is a plus EXPERIENCE7+ years as technical business analyst with a focus on MDMIn-depth knowledge of MDM core concepts, data architecture, data integration, and data governanceStrong understanding of logical data modeling and relational database designDirect experience with Semarchy DM is a plus, including Semarchy entities, enrichers, matchers, validations, and survivorship rulesWell versed in project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices TECHNICAL SKILLSExperience using Semarchy or similar MDM products (Informatica, Profisee, Tamr, Realtio, etc.)Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or equivalentFamiliar with writing SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting (nice to have)Familiar with Azure DevOps/Boards and Agile development methodologies CERTIFICATIONS & DOMAIN KNOWLEDGEExperience in the finance industry, mastering domains such as assets, counterparties, investors, and legal entitiesProfessional Scrum Product Owner or Scrum Master Certifications is a plus SOFT SKILLSExcited to design and build a new applicationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong, proactive communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
