Asset Recovery Officer at Farm Bureau Bank in-person role in San Antonio, Texas with an October start date.
What youll get to do
Originate both incoming and outgoing collection telephone calls to customers to establish payment arrangements on past due credit card and installment loans.
Queue management of advanced collection activity, specifically late stage delinquent accounts for consumer and business credit card and installment loans.
Serve as a subject matter expert for installment loan collection activity, repossession process, Member Assistance programs, and communications with customers.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers including repossession and remarketing vendors.
Perform advanced skip-tracing activities.
Review and recommend accounts for legal action and/or repossession when needed.
Prepare all necessary letters as required for the repossession and remarketing process.
Remarketing and disposing of collateral recovered including repossessions, impounds, voluntary surrenders and bankruptcies.
Improve current operations by identifying inefficiencies and recurring problems and by making suggestions to the immediate supervisor.
Education And Experience
High school diploma or GED required with some college credit preferred.
Two to three years experience in a credit card and consumer loan collection environment.
Prior experience in locating members (customers), collateral, and/or other assets through the use of various skip tracing tools.
Knowledge of all rules and regulations relating to the process of repossession and liquidation of repossessed collateral.
Two years experience in an office environment, preferably in a financial institution.
Two years experience in a repossession department.
