What’s the role about?
We are seeking an experienced customer service officer to join us on a permanent basis to provide exceptional service to our customers. This role will help manage our busy phone lines and is responsible for providing quotes, establishing insurance policies, and assisting customers with changes and queries on their policy.
You will be based in our stunning new central Auckland offices, where you will join a team that is passionate about providing the best experience to our customers. This role has flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. Plus, no weekend or night shifts!
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager you would be responsible for:
Delivering excellent service for all customers
Providing timely and accurate responses over the phone and via e-mail
Ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate and correctly stored
Coordinating administrative duties in between calls and emails
Resolving customer complaints and/or objections within delegated authority to ensure best possible outcome for the customer and Assurant
Working effectively in a team environment, collaborating with others and sharing knowledge and skills to achieve team goals and objective
About you:
Previous customer service and/or call centre experience
An interest or experience with classic cars/motorcycles/vehicles (highly desired!)
Previous experience in insurance and warranty (desirable but not essential - we will train you!)
Technology savvy and quick to learn new systems
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
A pleasant and professional phone and email manner
Great team player
Ability to meet service levels and individual KPI’s
Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
Decision making skills and ability to problem solve
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
