Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, team performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is responsible for directing labor, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound processes, managing equipment and safety programs, maintaining accurate inventory, and leveraging warehouse technology to support operational excellence. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead by example, developing a productive workforce through strong leadership, communication, and hands-on management.Key Responsibilities

Labor Management

Lead and supervise warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Train and develop a skilled and productive workforce

Apply effective communication, coaching, and motivation techniques to maintain high performance.

Supervise, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary while ensuring fairness and consistency.

Clearly explain and enforce company policies, procedures, and union agreements

Operations

Oversee unloading, receiving, stacking, picking, and staging of products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards.

Verify inbound and outbound documentation, ensuring all product counts are correct.

Complete and maintain all required records and reports with accuracy and timeliness.

Audit processes and take corrective action as needed.

Monitor performance metrics daily/weekly, coaching employees to improve efficiency.

Ensure seamless transitions between shifts and maintain continuity of operations.

Recommend and implement continuous improvement and standardization of processes.

Equipment & Safety

Oversee the safe and efficient use of all warehouse equipment.

Develop and enforce safety programs for personnel, equipment, and property.

Provide safety training and instruction as needed.

Respond immediately to workplace injuries and coordinate medical attention when necessary.

Ensure full compliance and company safety standards.

Hold employees accountable for following safety protocols.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records for all products.

Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes.

Optimize warehouse space utilization and product rotation.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ warehouse supervisory experience.

Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and delegate effectively.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Union experience preferred.

Skilled in data entry, retrieval, and analysis.

Hands-on approach with a strong commitment to achieving results.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Physical Demands

Ability to lift/move 5–75 lbs. regularly.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and working on concrete floors for extended periods.

Ability to kneel, crouch, and mount/dismount warehouse vehicles and lift trucks.

Exposure to loud noise environments.

Strong vision and manual dexterity for data entry, documentation, and occasional packaging.

Monday to Friday - 1st Shift

Potential Saturdays overtime.
