Job Description
A soon-to-be licensed Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program in Marion, Indiana, is seeking a full-time Clinical Director to lead our clinical operations. Our program will serve both primary mental health and primary substance use disorder populations with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Position Overview
The Clinical Director will oversee all aspects of clinical service delivery, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and lead a multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality care. The role includes program development during the pre-licensure phase and operational leadership once the program launches.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical oversight for all treatment services (PHP, IOP, and OBOT)
Supervise and support clinical staff, including therapists and case managers
Ensure compliance with Indiana licensing requirements and accreditation standards
Lead program development and establish treatment protocols before program launch
Facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
Oversee quality assurance, clinical documentation, and performance improvement initiatives
Participate in community outreach and referral relationship development
Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Work (LCSW) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC)
Active Indiana license in good standing
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Experience in PHP, IOP, or substance use disorder treatment settings strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for behavioral health services
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Compensation
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (or closely related field)
Active, unrestricted Indiana license as an LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent master’s level behavioral health license
Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or program leadership role
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), or Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT)
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage program operations
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with telehealth service delivery
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to evidence-based care, patient-centered treatment, and continuous quality improvement
