Position Overview
This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg within the Diabetic Renal Unit (DRMU). The assignment will follow a 12-hour night shift schedule, concluding on Saturdays.
Orientation Schedule
Orientations are held bi-weekly on Mondays, with the next sessions on 10/6 and 10/20.
Work Schedule
The position requires flexibility to work 2 to 3 weekends per month, based on unit needs. Please note that the facility can cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to changes in patient census.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant specialty.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Travel experience is required.
Experience in a teaching hospital or previous Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
An active Virginia or Compact License is required at the time of submission.
All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the submission packet.
