We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at our PGS Gardendale Stabilizer Facility located in Cotulla, Texas. In this role, you will perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on plant and pipeline equipment, ensuring compliance with DOT/PHMSA/PSM regulations. Your expertise in electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA equipment is essential, and you will be required to respond to call-outs for operations and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, calibrate, repair, install, and modify process controls, control valves, safety devices, analyzers, PLCs, field instrumentation (pressure, level, and flow), process monitoring equipment, meters, as well as low and high voltage motors and breakers, VFDs, radio communications, SCADA, and distributed control systems using various test equipment.

Maintain and troubleshoot 480 Vac plant equipment.

Stay updated on PSM policies and procedures affecting facility operations and maintenance.

Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on pipelines.

Ensure accurate documentation for all work performed, including maintenance records and calibration of test equipment.

Collaborate with outside vendors to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.

Rack in and out breakers and switchgear as necessary.

Keep facility documentation (P&ID, loop sheets, spec sheets, etc.) updated for any approved changes.

Communicate effectively and safely with field operations, coworkers, contractors, and the general public.

Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety procedures, including process safety management (PSM) best practices.

Participate in call-outs, travel, and overtime for field operations and emergency responses.

Assist with pipeline pigging operations.

Execute energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).

Perform any other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

You must reside within or be willing to relocate to within 60 miles of Cotulla.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical degree with a minimum of 2 years of related field experience or 4+ years of E&I experience in a plant environment.

Ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&IDs to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

General understanding of plant and pipeline operations, focusing on medium voltage equipment.

Self-starter attitude with a positive demeanor.

Ownership of work responsibilities and commitment to facility success.

Strong work ethic with teamwork skills and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Maximo or other CMMS programs.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, and respond to call-outs.

Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Ability to learn the Stabilizer process and function as a relief operator when needed.

Experience managing projects and overseeing contractors from inception to completion.

Ability to complete Haz-Mat training, safety programs, and meet minimum DOT qualifications as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals both inside and outside the company.

Eligible to operate a manlift and forklift.

Additional Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Clear criminal history and satisfactory references.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing.
