Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the K-12 school setting in the Columbus, Ohio area, covering a leave of absence from August 18, 2025, to November 3, 2025, with a strong possibility of extension through the full school year. This contract role involves working with students across all grade levels, from kindergarten to 12th grade, with a focus on serving children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Provide both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathology license is required.
Professional Pupil Service License preferred; emergency certification may be considered with superintendent approval.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience.
Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in educational settings.
Familiarity with teletherapy methods is an asset.
Commitment to supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
