People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Wednesbury.

Basic: £18.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Steel Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Deliver flat sheet panels up to two tonne packs
Essential Skills
As a Steel Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Previous steel experience is a must
Desirable Experience
Experience driving any commercial vehicles
Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
Training
Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
