An established construction firm is seeking a Project Engineer – Doors, Frames, Hardware to support complex commercial building projects in Amarillo, TX. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on commercial construction experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to keep projects moving smoothly.Key Responsibilities
Assist in project planning by preparing scope packages, monitoring schedules, and supporting cost structure organization
Act as a liaison between field teams, subcontractors, and design professionals to resolve coordination issues and keep work on track
Review and process submittals, RFIs, change documents, and other critical project documentation
Support onsite construction by interpreting drawings, assisting with layout, and ensuring alignment between architectural, structural, and MEP systemsQualifications
Minimum 3 years of commercial construction experience (doors, frames, and hardware experience strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent field experience)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and project management/design tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work in high-pressure onsite environments
Salary: $87K - 151K (DOE)
Bonus: 2 bonuses (Individual and Company) and SAU (stock appreciation units)
Per Diem: $160 a day (non-taxable - Hoffman picks-up ) - will start receiving once - boots on ground (to help cover cost to get on getting to site) - (NO company vehicle and NO gas card)
Location: Amarillo, TX - 100% onsite
