Home Helper Volunteer

Not being able to do small home repairs or yardwork is a barrier to senior independence!

These volunteers assist Delaware County seniors with their light home repair, housekeeping, or yardwork. Project examples include replacing doorknobs, installing light fixtures, light drywall repairs, fixing a faucet, dusting, cooking, laundry, or yard work and landscaping projects. This is a great option for those who want to volunteer intermittently evenings or weekends. Project requests are posted online and the volunteer signs up for the ones that best fit his or her skillsets.

This position requires a brief orientation, either in person or online, fingerprinting (done onsite) and a half-hour phone training.
