We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Technician – Computers & Electronics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with established standards for physical condition, version control, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a dedicated QA technician with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a willingness to learn advanced concepts, ability to work unsupervised, and communicate to others with varying degrees of technical knowledge and experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspection of incoming materials: Inspect a sample of incoming product on site at first- and third-party integration facilities to ensure the product meets all established criteria for physical condition, revision, and regulatory compliance.

In Process Inspections: Inspect goods during production at various stages of assembly on site at first- and third-party integration facilities to ensure the finished product is assembled to established standards.

End Product Inspections: Inspect product on site at first- and third-party integration facilities to ensure quality and consistency in the end product.

Component Quality Response: Provide rapid reporting on any high failure rates found on site at the integration facilities either through QA inspections or as reported by our integration partners in order to minimize loss of production. Ability to provide failure reports in a clear and concise manner to purchasing and leadership teams.

Pilot Production and First Article Inspections: Inspect the initial production units on site at first- and third-party integration facilities with the assistance of an engineer to ensure new models are assembled correctly and any issues are resolved quickly.

Internal Support: Provide support to Home Office and store personnel providing rapid response if any issues are detected.

Qualification of Computer Components: Test varying internal components and software to ensure compatibility and compliance with regulatory rules as well as compliance with vendor agreements and internal company standards.

End User Support: Provide support to our end users through channels such as our Q&A section and our forum.

Travel: Travel to and from local integration facilities daily. Infrequent domestic travel and international travel as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:

At least 3 years of experience in PC troubleshooting and repair, including hardware and BIOS-level support preferred or strong aptitude and desire to learn.

Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation – local travel to third-party integration sites

Detail oriented and able to identify and respond to issues quickly.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, vendors, and customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work efficiently while unsupervised.
