Why Saskatchewan?
Saskatchewan is a promising target market for the Make a Book project because of its strong educational networks, vibrant cultural diversity, and deep community roots. The province is home to a large Indigenous population and a variety of immigrant communities, making it an ideal place to support storytelling that preserves heritage and celebrates multicultural voices. Saskatchewan’s schools and universities provide clear pathways for adoption, particularly in literacy and creative writing initiatives, while libraries and community organisations can serve as hubs for book creation and sharing. The province also has a growing creative sector, supported by festivals and cultural events that highlight local talent. With its emphasis on education, heritage preservation, and community engagement, Saskatchewan offers fertile ground for expanding the Make a Book project.
