Why Ontario?
Ontario is a prime target market for the Make a Book project because of its scale, diversity, and influence within Canada’s cultural and economic landscape. As the most populous province, Ontario offers a vast and varied audience, from students and educators to entrepreneurs, artists, and community groups. Toronto, Canada’s publishing and media hub, provides direct access to the country’s largest concentration of writers, publishers, and cultural institutions, while cities like Ottawa and Waterloo add strong educational and technology-driven markets. Ontario’s multicultural population creates demand for platforms that enable diverse voices to be shared and preserved, aligning closely with the project’s mission. In addition, the province’s schools, universities, and libraries offer a strong foundation for adoption, while its thriving creative industries present commercial opportunities for growth. Altogether, Ontario’s size, diversity, and cultural leadership make it the single most strategic province for launching and scaling the Make a Book project.
