Why New Brunswick?
New Brunswick is an attractive target market for the Make a Book project because of its bilingual culture, strong educational focus, and community-oriented environment. As Canada’s only officially bilingual province, New Brunswick offers a unique opportunity to support both English and French storytelling, making the project especially relevant for schools, libraries, and cultural organisations. The province has a strong network of educators and literacy initiatives that align with the project’s goal of encouraging creativity and preserving stories. Additionally, New Brunswick’s rich Acadian and Indigenous heritage provides fertile ground for capturing and publishing cultural narratives that might otherwise remain underrepresented. With its emphasis on education, heritage, and bilingualism, New Brunswick presents both cultural significance and practical opportunity for expanding the Make a Book project.
