YOUR ROLE
The Solutions Design Engineer reports to the Senior Manager for Solutions Design. In a project environment, the engineer reports into the solutions design lead of the specific project.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
Analyse customer requirements and support Q&A sessions
Design and propose warehousing solutions accordingly to customer needs:
Assess Resources, MHE, investments, EDI, automation and innovation opportunities, etc.
Support IS team to define the best IT solution for the project
Provide costs analysis and rates
Build RFP technical answer document to present the solution
Project Management
Organize workshop between Customers teams, IS, Regional and Operations / Key Users
Analyse and summarize relevant data to support the workshop (decisions, follow-up analysis)
Follow-up IT developments and WMS setup / configuration with the IS team Project Manager
Coordinate with purchasing for supplier’s selections and site renovation / installation
Follow-up on the management of project:
Resources (both operational recruitment and resources allocated to the project)
Costs and budget follow-up
Schedule and on-time milestones / delivery and the deliverables
Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers
Handover to Operations
Support the Logistics Business Development team to create up-to-date commercial packages showcasing CEVA Logistics know how
Support the BD team to improve internal costing and analytics tools
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Bachelor’s degree in business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; Alternatively an equivalent combination of work experience.
Able to read, write and speak English fluently
2-4 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain and/or manufacturing where a detailed knowledge of warehousing and transportation has been obtained
Data Analysis, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or Equivalent
Financial Modeling, negotiation with customers and suppliers
Process Mapping, Labor Sizing, Handling Equipment
Troubleshooting, Project Management
Knowledge of WMS, OMS, TMS, etc.
Drawing and Simulation Tools: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Class, Flexsim, ProModel or similar.
Proven experience in Solution Design for Warehouse
Experience in complementary areas of Implementation, Automation, Six Sigma, Certification in Lean Manufacturing, operations management will be a plus
Able and willing to work effectively in a multi disciplinary team, which reflects in strong engagement / presentation skills
Ambition to learn and grow knowledge of solutions design
Can do mentality and positive attitude
