The Role

We are looking for an able and enthusiastic lawyer to join our team, focusing on financial services, arbitration and commercial litigation. The role is Dubai based but with opportunities to work with both local and international clients across the GCC region.

Dentons represents a range of leading financial institutions and corporate clients and is particularly highly regarded for financial services work. We now have an exciting opportunity for a senior associate to join the team. The role provides the opportunity to act in disputes for sophisticated financial institutions and experience in the financial services field is strongly preferred. The role will suit an associate looking to demonstrate existing legal and case management skills, but also wanting to develop their own strategic skills. You will be given responsibility and a good range of work in a collegiate environment working with collaborative partners.

Responsibilities

Advise on DIFC and ADGM Court litigation in the financial services and commercial sectors.

Support partners in building and maintaining client relationships.

Represent clients in arbitration proceedings under the rules of arbitral institutions such as DIAC, LCIA, ICC, and ADGM Arbitration Centre (arbitrateAD).

Make significant contributions to business development.

Coach and mentor more junior members of the team.

Coordinate and cooperate with colleagues in other practice groups and offices.

Build and maintain client relationships.

Contribute to business development.

Contribute to thought leadership and raise the profile of the firm externally.

Required experience, skills, and attributes

Technical skills

Strong academic record.

Qualified Lawyer.

You will ideally have experience of working with international clients.

Ability to work independently.

Experience representing clients in international arbitration a must.

Experience handling matters before the DIFC and / or ADGM courts strongly preferred.
