Position Type: Permanent Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday (Morning Shift)

Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (commensurate with experience)

Essential Qualifications:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience/qualifications)

Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)

Essential Skills & Attributes:

Ability to prepare balanced, nutritious meals for young children

Experience creating rotating menus in line with dietary guidelines

Confident in catering to special dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, halal)

Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols

Ability to manage food budgets and supply ordering

Excellent time management to ensure meals are ready on schedule

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in an early childhood setting

Familiarity with children's nutritional needs and common allergies

Passion for creating culturally diverse dishes to enrich learning

Knowledge of sustainable food practices (e.g. waste reduction, local sourcing)
