Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans and procedures
Establish and manage baselines (functional, allocated, and product)
Manage and control engineering changes through Change Control Boards (CCBs)
Maintain and audit Bill of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and technical documentation
Support product lifecycle activities from concept through sustainment
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and program management teams
Manage configuration control databases and Product Data Management (PDM) systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill)
Conduct configuration audits (Functional Configuration Audit, Physical Configuration Audit)
Ensure configuration records are accurate and up to date for customer delivery and regulatory compliance Required Skills:
2+ years of experience in Configuration Management within aerospace or defense industry preferred
Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent
Working knowledge of configuration management standards (e.g., MIL-STD-973, EIA-649)
Experience with PLM/PDM systems (e.g. Enovia, SolidWorks PDM, Windchill)
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and document control systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This position requires either a US person or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Strong knowledge of Costpoint ERP system and/or other ERP systems
Understanding of PLM systems for Engineering CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor and AutoCAD files
Mechanical design using 3D solid modeling tools
Knowledge of Mil, ASTM, ASME, IAW and other standards
Ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple projects
Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
Background in systems engineering or configuration management Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
Occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds
Visual acuity to read detailed technical drawings and computer screens
Ability to move around in a manufacturing or lab environment
Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD (Annually)
