Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for general, detailed, and specific inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and service of all company vehicles and equipment.

• Follow preventative maintenance programs.

• Maintain service records for all departmental equipment and maintain effective communication with all equipment operators to ensure safe and optimal performance of equipment.

• Perform emergency repairs to equipment.

• Additional duties as assigned.

• Actively demonstrate, encourage, and model safety rules and guidelines in accordance with state and federal law, using personal protective equipment as required.

• Report safety or hazard concerns to management immediately.

• Report any work-related injury to management immediately.

• Take personal responsibility for safety every day.

Qualification-Requirements Experience - Education

• Previous turf equipment mechanic experience.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Must have working knowledge of all golf course specific operations.

• Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive parts.

• Skill in the use of a variety of tools and various types of mechanical repairs.

• Working knowledge of the operation and care of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.

• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions while repairing equipment (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind).

• Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.

• Ability to move heavy objects.

• Must be able to walk a minimum of five miles daily, able to lift 70 lbs, willing to stand or sit for long periods of time.
