Jim Vreeland Ford is looking for a detailed, experienced Mainline Automotive Technician to help us provide exceptional service to our service drive customers.
Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive service, contributing to a positive customer experience through quality workmanship.
Our service department is growing, and we are looking for someone with at least 5+ years experience as a mainline technician. Diesel and/or transmission diagnostic experience is highly desirable. ASE and/or Brand Certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes
Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols
Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise mannerQualifications
High school diploma or GED is required
An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
Strong customer service and communications skills are requiredBenefits:
