We’re currently seeking a Highway Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on active job sites throughout the area.

Position Overview

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for supervising all on-site road construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely and on time. This role includes managing crews, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and communicating with project managers.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily job site operations, ensuring work is performed to project specifications and safety standards

Lead and coordinate field crew, subcontractors, and equipment operators

Monitor project schedules, progress, and materials

Work closely with project managers and estimators to align field work with project plans

Resolve field issues promptly and professionally

Ensure accurate documentation of daily reports, timekeeping, and materials usage

Enforce safety policies and conduct job site safety inspections

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in highway construction (TxDOT projects a plus)

3+ years of experience in a supervisory or superintendent role

Strong knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and equipment

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and schedules

Proven leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in job site documentation and basic computer skills

Valid driver’s license (required)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TxDOT standards and reporting

CDL license a plus but not required

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
