The Assistant Director of Scheduling and Events will oversee the coordination of reservations, scheduling, and event planning. Responsible for hiring, training and supervising Recreational Sports Scheduling Coordinators to ensure all meetings and events are scheduled correctly and clients needs are met including special accommodations; completes payroll and evaluation of scheduling and event staff; creates and implements policies and procedures pertaining to scheduling and event areas; provides oversight for departmental budgets; constantly assesses procedures to make changes and updates as necessary based on customer feedback; creates and implements service standards; serves on internal and external departmental committees as well as collaborates with departments across the university; creates, implements and oversees sales and marketing plan of scheduling and event area; serves as daytime contact person for reservations for customers and clients.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Recreation, Sports Administration, or Physical Education or other related field or equal combination of education and experience; professional experience in the administration and organization of Recreational Sports is highly desired; experience in scheduling and event coordination in a university setting, particularly in a Recreational Sports setting is desired.
