Job description:

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Shift Coordinator to be based at our Brassington site, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The role holder will be responsible for managing and leading a small team of multi skilled production operators. All this is to be done in a safe and sustainable way, in line with agreed cost budget and the Sibelco Values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and leading a team of multi skilled operators

Work as part of a multi skilled team on a rotating shift pattern

Safely operate a variety of mobile equipment

Decision making in the absence of line management

Assist with other aspects of the site including inspection and basic maintenance

Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan

Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and sustainable way, in line with the Sibelco Values and policies.

About You:

Proactive and Positive approach to working safely, with excellent knowledge of Health & Safety

Enthusiastic team player, with an honest and pragmatic attitude

Good communication skills

Prior experience operating within a glass recycling or similar work environment

Management skills would be advantageous

Ability to make decisions and assume responsibility for the site in the absence of the Production Supervisor
