Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in the Brighton area, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with Speech and Language expertise and British Sign Language (BSL) experience.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, supporting their communication, learning, and emotional development in a nurturing environment.

The Role:

Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)

Using British Sign Language to aid communication and learning

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans

Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning

Promoting inclusive practices across the classroom and school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience supporting children with speech and language needs

Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) – Level 2 or above preferred

A caring, patient and proactive approach

Experience working in SEN settings (mainstream or specialist)

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
