The Opportunity:

VTA Recruitment is working with a trusted business that specialises and provides a huge range of services to the public and private sectors across Greater Manchester. We’re looking for 7.5T drivers to join the Street Care team in a driving-based role — a perfect fit for newly qualified drivers seeking experience or anyone looking to move into a stable position. You will be working with a second driver, maintaining the cleanliness of public areas within the wider community across the Borough of Stockport.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete Street Cleansing duties - such as removal fly tipped removal, manual sweeping and litter picking.

Driving a 6.5 tonne tipper

Operating alone, responsible for emptying 160 litter bins per night

Emptying communal bins

Tending to areas prone to fly tipping, collecting the waste and returning this to site for disposal.

General hygiene maintenance.

Maintaining a professional attitude representing the company whilst working away from site.

What We’re Looking For:

Driving Licence: Minimum C1 licence with Tachograph card required to operate the vehicle (or be willing to apply for one)

Knowledge: Familiarity with the Stockport area is adventurous

No more than 6 points on licence
