Corporate and Commercial Lawyer

Industry: Financial Services

Location: Malta

Basis: Full time

Remuneration: Salary + Benefits

Main Duties:

Draft and advise on a wide range of legal agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, and client contracts

Manage corporate transactions and legal due diligence for clients

Provide strategic legal guidance to clients and company leadership

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices

Conduct legal research and monitor legislative changes in Malta and other relevant jurisdictions

Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations

Support company formations, restructurings, and cross-border transactions

Liaise with external legal advisors on complex or litigation-related matters

Contribute to process improvements and maintain legal templates and policies

Handle general legal matters and provide support to other departments

What skills do you need:

Law degree from a recognized institution (LL.M. from the University of Malta is a plus)

Admitted to practice law in Malta is preferred

Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate and civil law

Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance

Familiarity with the gaming or technology sectors is a bonus

Proficiency in data protection and intellectual property law is an asset

Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
